Chris Owen's working cowboy themes are a representation of authentic, operating ranch activities. He paints predominantly with gouachea is a popular artist paint because it is similar to watercolor but it is opaque and highly pigmented. Mr. Owen majored in art at Montana State University. He was the recipient of a scholarship to the acclaimed Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles, where he studied for two years.
He was selected as the 2001 limited edition print artist. He is recognized as a Contemporary Western artist, whose equine and cowboy images capture the energy, gestures and aura of the American West.
